"Snow Tales and Powder Trails" is a collection of short stories and photographs, telling of a lifetime journey through snowy lands and mountains, using skis as a mode of transport and artistic medium.
The experiences of the author come to life on the page, mirrored by images of stunning snow-covered peaks and landscapes. Using vast untracked snowfields as a blank canvas, the author draws line after line with his skis, etching his signature temporarily into the earth's surface, only for the next snowstorm to come in and cover any trace of human existence.
The book explores some of the different aspects of skiing, mostly in deep fresh powder, and illustrates the adventures and elation that the mountains in winter can offer. It is available as an e-book and a paperback book.

...Ignite your powder dreams...
Born and raised in rural England, Steve Baldwin was always excited whenever it snowed during his childhood.
As soon as he finished high school, he took the first chance that he could to live in a region where it snowed all winter long, and where the snow built up after every snowfall like he had imagined as a child.
With family links to Canada, he spends much of his time in the mountains of BC, and also the French Alps, where he has found a spiritual home in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.
"...Turn after turn releases a set of waves to surf, the flakes sluffing down the slope as they settle back into the snowpack, the track of the mono etched like a painter’s brushstroke between the pole marks. As the pitch steepens, the monoski grows wings and flies over the snow surface, touching down lightly on every turn, sending a sparkling wall up into the air around the rider..."
